Columbia Strathdale Centre – Dining

At Columbia Strathdale, Dynamis was engaged to revitalise a range of internal environments with the aim of enhancing the day-to-day experience for both residents and staff.

The primary objective was to create a brighter, more welcoming atmosphere while maximising the use of underutilised spaces. Importantly, the redesign was underpinned by a sensitivity to the needs of high-care and dementia residents, ensuring the new environment was not only beautiful, but also supportive and inclusive.

Using The Dynamis Way—our proven, phased methodology for single-source delivery—we guided the project from strategy through to completion with certainty, collaboration, and care. This allowed us to identify challenges early, engage key stakeholders at the right moments, and ensure cost control without compromising on quality.

The scope of work included the full refurbishment of dining rooms, lounges, staff facilities, and resident areas. Kitchens and communal spaces were modernised to meet contemporary needs and provide improved flow, comfort, and aesthetic appeal. Accessibility and functional layout were prioritised throughout, promoting ease of movement and creating spaces that support independence and social engagement.

The outcome is a transformed environment that delivers tangible benefits: residents now enjoy a more uplifting, activity-rich setting that encourages connection and satisfaction. Staff benefit from better spatial efficiency and an environment that supports morale and productivity. Most importantly, the thoughtful use of space and design considerations ensures that every corner of the facility contributes to the wellbeing of those who live and work within it.

Delivered with zero variations, and with a defect-free handover, this project is a testament to the power of strategic design and streamlined delivery—hallmarks of The Dynamis Way.
