The objective was to elevate functionality and comfort while embedding design principles that enhance wellbeing, especially for those living with dementia. Equally important was the integration of local heritage elements, which would help strengthen the facility’s connection to its community and identity.
Guided by The Dynamis Way—our lean, phased delivery methodology—the project moved seamlessly from strategic alignment through to flawless execution. This approach ensured early stakeholder engagement, rigorous planning, clear communication, and cost certainty at every stage. By removing outdated flooring, doors, and furniture, we were able to reimagine the space without legacy limitations. The redesign included the installation of bespoke joinery, such as a modern reception desk, a custom sign-in station, and carefully considered paneling that introduced texture and warmth.
Lighting was a key focus. Outdated downlights were replaced with energy-efficient LED fixtures, enhancing both energy performance and visual comfort. Electrical outlets were reconfigured to support better spatial functionality, ensuring that the new layout met the evolving needs of the facility.
The transformation delivers far-reaching benefits. The newly upgraded space is welcoming, functional, and thoughtfully designed to support residents’ cognitive needs—incorporating dementia-friendly features that improve navigation, comfort, and emotional safety. Staff benefit from a more organised and efficient working environment, while visitors are greeted with a sense of warmth and professionalism that reflects the values of the organisation.
In true Dynamis fashion, the project was delivered with zero variations and a defect-free handover—hallmarks of our commitment to certainty, quality, and accountability. By weaving in local heritage elements, the project also achieved something more profound: it strengthened the emotional resonance of the space, creating a facility that not only serves but truly belongs to its community.
